Nobel Quran - English Translation
16. But you prefer the life of this world,
17. Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting.
18. This, indeed, is what is taught in the former Scriptures -
19. The Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

1. Has there come to thee the news of the overwhelming calamity ?
2. Some faces on that day will be downcast;
3. Toiling, weary.
4. They shall enter a blazing Fire,
5. And will be made to drink from a boiling spring.
6. They will have no food save that of dry, bitter and thorny herbage,
7. Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger.
8. And some faces on that day will be joyful;
9. Well-pleased with their past striving,
10. In a lofty Garden,
11. Wherein thou wilt hear no vain talk.
12. Therein is a running spring,
13. Therein are raised couches,
14. And goblets properly placed,
15. And cushions beautifully ranged in rows,
16. And carpets tastefully spread.
17. Do they not then look at the camels, how they are created ?
18. And at the heaven, how it is raised high ?
19. And at the mountains, how they are fixed ?
20. And at the earth, how it is spread out ?
21. Admonish, therefore, for thou art but an admonisher;
22. Thou art not appointed a keeper over them.
23. But whoever turns away and disbelieves,
24. ALLAH will punish him with the greatest punishment.
25. Unto US, surely, is their return.
26. Then, surely, it is for US to call them to account.
